For those who want to love wine, but don’t know how
We are Dan & Krista Stockman, a couple who fell in love with wine as we fell in love with each other. For nearly seven years, we shared that love with readers of Uncorked, a weekly wine column in The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Now we do it here.
We think there’s nothing worse than walking into the wine aisle and being frightened. And, unfortunately, the wine industry does very little to help – even the cheapest bottle of wine can say it’s made from the finest grapes available. That’s where we come in. We’re focused on people who want to love wine, but don’t know how – because that is the vast majority of wine consumers today.
We are available for in-home wine-tastings, hosting larger functions, such as business parties or non-profit fundraisers, or to assist in public relations for the wine industry.
Fee Schedule:
In-home wine tasting, up to 15 people
•In Allen County – $200*
•In Northeast Indiana – $250*
•In Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio – $350, plus travel*
•Other states – Fee negotiated*
In-home wine tasting, up to 45 people
•In Allen County $300*
•In Northeast Indiana $350*
•In Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio – $450, plus travel*
•Other states – Fee negotiated*
*IMPORTANT: The fees shown here do not include the cost of the wines, which is dependent on the type of tasting you choose, but typically starts at about $150 for each 15 guests.
Business events, special occasions
Whether it’s a company picnic, business luncheon or a family wedding, we can participate at whatever level of involvement you choose, from helping to plan the event and choosing wines to simply making a guest appearance for your guests. Fees negotiated.
